Lugano

Lugano is a city and municipality in the CantonA canton is one of the states of Switzerland. The Swiss Federal Constitution declares the cantons to be sovereign to the extent that their sovereignty is not limited by federal law of Ticino in Switzerland. The Ticino region has the highest male life expectancy in the world.

Bordering Italy

Lugano is in proximity to famous Italian lakes like Lake Como and Lake Maggiore, and about a 130 km (~80 miles) distance—as the crow flies—from Lake Garda. Italian is the only official language of Ticino, and the population is about three hundred fifty thousand.
